Itzel Quinceanera!

So I recently covered my 2nd Quinceanera! Gotta say, I have a blast and enjoy it as much as weddings because well... It's just as of a big deal as a wedding!! I'm not kidding! The whole works... taking formal pics of her in her amazing white poofy dress with her family members and escorts (kind of like bridesmades and groomsmen), at the venue she is introduced and the ceremony of her becoming a woman occurs, a couple of peformances are done as a gift to her, she has a dance with her daddy, then singing happy birthday while she looks at this HUGE grand bday cake and does her own first cake cutting moment. One thing I must say I enjoy aside from the hospitality of their families making me feel as if I'm apart of their own and one of their auntys sisters brothers cousins... is the FOOOOOD!!! Oh gosh... nothing satisfies me more than being able to scarf down delicious food while I'm shooting a gig. And authentic home cooking mexican food just completed my soul that day. DELICIOSO!!! :) Itzel you were absolutely stunning and beautiful and look forward to seeing next quinceanera I do for another girl at your church and see how much you've grown up and turned into a sophisticated and amazing woman!

Janalyn and Adam Wedding

Janalyn and Adam can be found in my previous post a while back where I showcased their engagement pictures. Finally posting up their wedding pics. Ridiculously fun couple with an even more fun and crazy funny family! Seriously felt like I was one of the cousins apart of the family, everyone were cracking jokes with me and just having the time of their life! Enjoyed being able to capture Janalyn and Adams wedding and wish them and their 2 handsome boys Jakey and Jordan well! :)

Awkward Family Portraits Book

So while doing my normal browsing and spending hours at borders books store I came across a book that I just couldnt pass up! After the first few images of this book I was rolling and laughing hyterically from the hideous pictures of some of the family photos showcased within this book titled "Awkward Family Portraits." Yes I did end up buying it and will display it as a coffee table read when I open my own studio someday. This book is just classic and gets me going all the time!!!!! If you come across of it you NEED to check it out. It makes you wonder what the photographer was thinking at the time as well as the family!!!
