Nikki + Rich Wedding

FUN, FUN, and FUN!!!!!!! Nikki and Rich were one of the most down for anything couples I have ever met! So playful, spunky and youthful like myself we were a perfect match and had THE most amazing time working together! I had been conversing and planning with the both of them via email and phone since they are not from here and the day we were able to finally meet in person it was as if I was meeting with an old friend. This couple beaming with excitement about their wedding clearly shows in EVERY picture I captured on that day. The energy was always in full mode and despite being on the go literally all day, they never lost any ounce of energy and had a wonderful time celebrating their beautiful Hawaii wedding. We also had a lot of fun together POST wedding day because we did a trash the dress session together which I will post up in a couple of days. Nikki and Rich it was an absolute delight working with the both of you and I don't think I can even call it "working" since we had SO much fun together. I wish you both a long and happy life together back in NV and I hope you will come back to visit Hawaii again! Capturing your youthful and playful love for each other was such a treat for me and you have spoiled me and my camera! lol ♥ you both and thank you again for allowing me to be apart of your day and getting to know you both!

Emily + Rick Engagements

This was a very exciting engagement session for me... my very first engagement session in another state! :) The beautiful San Francisco!! AND the best part? It was with my cousin and her fiance!!! It was 6th grade when I last visited LA and my cousin and I were singing and making our own choreography to Lion King (thats when lion king JUST came out in theaters, we're so old!! lol) on the street in front of her house. And now here I am at 25 years old, going to be heading back to LA after 14 years and I will be covering her and Rick's wedding in November. :) Both HUGE baseball fans they will be having a baseball themed wedding on the actual baseball field!! :D :D Couldn't be more excited, honored, and privileged that she and Rick wanted me to cover their wedding and fly me over. ♥ you guys and see you in November!!

Slacking on the blog but not FACEBOOK

Hey everyone! So I am aware at how terrible I can be not updating my blog as much as I would like to. With being out and about shooting weddings and then the post editing process... it takes up much of my time. However I am a facebook JUNKY and I always find time to get on fb and update my page or go "like" happy on peoples pages. It's terrible. I need help. BUT with that said... for the most updated work and most updates on what I'm up to please go onto my Shannon Sasaki Photography Facebook. I am ALWAYS updating that page and posting my latest work and just writing random thought in my head that most people probably don't need to know. lol But just letting you know, go on my facebook, LIKE my page, and check up on it once in a while and I guarantee updated work on there! :)

Mary + Tony Wedding

Mary + Tony. Eccentric. Witty. Exciting. This couple is nothing short of a surprise. What do I mean? Mary and Tony don't even come close to the word "Boring." I was always in for a surprise or something very out of the ordinary. That is EXACTLY what I LOVE! From having their pet chicken walk down the aisle to Tony coming out doing a fire dance for Mary, YES, a FIRE dance. This couple kept things funky fresh! Out of all the weddings I have done their vows to each other was by far the BEST I have ever heard... I was having such a hard time maintaining focus and taking pictures while wiping my eyes from the ridiculous tears that kept dripping down my face. Their love, respect and understanding for each other is so incredibly amazing. It blew me away. It was such an honor and privilege for me to be apart of your special day Mary and Tony and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for not only choosing me as your photographer, but for allowing me to witness such a love and capturing it for me to share with the rest of the world. There's someone out there for everyone and you both clearly found that person. Congratulations and I wish you both a very long and happy life together.
